Wildflowers

There is something sweet and lovely about wildflowers. Wherever I go, bright colours attract my attention and I find myself creeping around, getting close to the subject… Take a look at these examples. Most of these are from Vancouver Island and Saturna Island, where I live. But I will add more pictures from other locations like the Southern mainland of BC, as I dig through my “reserves”…

Note on identification: I used my trusty copy of Plants of Coastal British Columbia, the UBC E-Flora website , and websites like Turner Photographics to identify most of these flowers and plants. But I would be surprised if I got them all correctly, so feel free to use my contact page to send me comments and corrections. Thank you in advance for your help!
